With MetaModel, you use a type-safe SQL-like API for querying any datastore. It is a data access framework providing a common interface for exploration and querying of different types of datastores. It isn't a data mapping framework. Instead, it emphasizes abstraction of metadata and the ability to add data sources at runtime, making MetaModel great for generic data processing applications, but less so for applications modeled around a particular domain.

Release Notes: Many query parser improvements, including parsing column names with dots, mixed case clause declarations, select DISTINCT queries, select item aliases, and selecting everything from multiple from items. It also fixes two bugs: an issue with interpreting CHAR types as strings, and inclusion of function names (if available) in TableModel header names.

Download Website 28 Dec 22:08 samhain 3.0.9

samhain is a daemon that can check file integrity, search the file tree for SUID files, and detect kernel module rootkits (Linux only). It can be used either standalone or as a client/server system for centralized monitoring, with strong (192-bit AES) encryption for client/server connections and the option to store databases and configuration files on the server. For tamper resistance, it supports signed database/configuration files and signed reports/audit logs. It has been tested on Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, and Unixware.

Release Notes: Some build errors have been fixed, as well as the 'probe' command for the server (clients could be erroneously omitted under certain conditions). An option has been added to the Windows registry check to ignore changes if only the timestamp has changed, and full scans requested by the inotify module will now only run at times configured for regular full scans.

Download Website 28 Dec 22:04 Scriptella 1.1

Scriptella is an Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) and script execution tool. Its primary focus is simplicity. Release Notes: JEXL 2.0 support was added. Flexible parsing/formatting rules for text/CSV drivers were added. StringIndexOutOfBoundsException has been fixed when parsing SQL statements with ternary expressions. Support for batch execution was added. Missing query.next calls are now detected in JavaScript/JEXL query elements.

Download Website 28 Dec 21:58 Gnome Partition Editor 0.14.1-6

Gnome Partition Editor is a graphical frontend to libparted. It supports creating, resizing, moving, and copying of partitions.

Release Notes: The big news with this release is the added ability to boot the live image on uEFI firmware computers, while maintaining boot ability on traditional PC/BIOS computers. This means that GParted Live can now boot on newer Windows 8 computers. In addition to supporting uEFI firmware, two more GNU/Linux operating system images have been released: i686-PAE (Physical Address Extension) and AMD64 (X86-64). These new images permit addressing more than 4 gigabytes of RAM and enable using multiple processor cores.

Download Website 28 Dec 21:53 _smake 1.2.2

smake is a highly portable 'make' program that makes commands up to date based on rules in Makefiles and on the timestamps of the related files. It implements a complete superset of the features of the classical POSIX/Unix make program. It warns about typical misuse of dynamic macros that prevent portability of makefiles. Its automake features allow you to run scripts to automatically create rules for unknown platforms.

Release Notes: Support for some new platforms was added. This release correctly implements the '+' command line prefix even when it has been called with -t (touch). Better file PATH search allows smake to better find its internal .../lib/defaults.smk file that contains the default rules (see libschily/searchinpath.c).

Download Website 28 Dec 21:52 HAproxy 1.5-dev17

HAproxy is a high-performance and highly-robust TCP and HTTP load balancer which provides cookie-based persistence, content-based switching, SSL off-loading, advanced traffic regulation with surge protection, automatic failover, run-time regex-based header control, Web-based reporting and management interface, advanced logging to help trouble-shooting buggy applications and/or networks, and a few other features. Its own event-driven state machine achieves 100,000 connections per second and surpasses GigaEthernet on modern hardware, even with tens of thousands of simultaneous connections.

Release Notes: The last known bugs since 1.5-dev15 have been fixed (frozen POSTs, aborted SSL sessions, and occasionally truncated early responses from servers to POST requests). Additionally, a few long-awaited features have been implemented: support for logging anything coming from a sample fetch function using %[] in the log format, as well as passing this to servers in HTTP headers (all SSL information can now be passed this way). The HTML stats page was improved with more detailed information in tips (this was broken in dev16). Users of 1.5-dev12 to 16 are strongly encouraged to upgrade.

Download Website 28 Dec 13:45 Bluelog 1.1.0

Bluelog is a Bluetooth site survey tool, designed to tell you how many discoverable devices there are in an area as quickly as possible. Bluelog differs from most Bluetooth scanners in that it prioritizes speed of reporting over anything else (i.e. it doesn't spend time trying to pull detailed data from a device) and doesn't require any user intervention to function. As the name implies, its primary function is to log discovered devices to file rather than to be used interactively. Bluelog could run on a system unattended for long periods of time to collect data. In addition to basic scanning, Bluelog also has a unique feature called "Bluelog Live", which puts results in a constantly updating Web page which you can serve with your HTTP daemon of choice.

Release Notes: This is a stable release intended for general use. It adds many internal improvements, cleanups, and bugfixes, and is a suggested upgrade for all users.
