Arkeia Network Backup is designed for organizations that require fast, easy-to-use, and affordable data protection. It backs up critical data to disk, tape, and cloud storage. Arkeia protects all major virtual platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, XenServer, and more than 200 physical platforms including Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Netware, most UNIX flavors, and BSDs. The company’s source-side Progressive Deduplication technology helps users realize better performance at a lower cost by reducing data volumes. Arkeia’s deduplication is crucial to accelerating replication of on-premise backups to private or public clouds.
Release Notes: Cloud “Seeding and Feeding”: export one or multiple backup sets in deduped format onto USB-connected disk drives or disk arrays. Ship physical media to remote storage and import the backup sets into a remote backup server. Cloud recovery via portable disk: perform the feeding and seeding operation in reverse. Data are maintained in dedupe format when shipped on physical media back to LAN. The process for downloading, installing, and configuring Arkeia Network Backup software has been re-engineered.
Potrace is a utility for tracing a bitmap (that is, transforming a bitmap into a smooth, scalable image). The input is a portable bitmap (PBM), and the default output is an encapsulated PostScript file (EPS). A typical use is to create EPS files from scanned data, such as company or university logos, handwritten notes, etc. The resulting image is not "jaggy" like a bitmap, but smooth. It can then be rendered at any resolution.
Release Notes: This release adds a GeoJSON backend, support for bitfields in the BMP format, and a minor change in the behavior of the alphamax parameter (a value of 0 now gives a true polygon).

XINS competes with the complex SOAP technology. Main design goals include simplicity, scalability, and testability. XINS is not only a specification technology, but also an application development framework. It offers transaction logging, unique log documentation, and active code generation.

Scache is a different approach for PHP session data management. It provides a generic key-value data cache to use for transient session data storage. Scache also provides a shared keyspace, shared counters, and simple cache features. Scache's difference to other implementations is a tree-structured keyspace where one can easily operate only on required parts of stored session data and also invalidate groups of stored data by expiring whole subtrees. Despite its name, scache is not a cache. Scache stores all session data inserted until data is deliberately destroyed and so reduces the need to redundantly store the same data somewhere else. Scache consists of a daemon and a PHP extension.
Release Notes: This minor update supports PHP major version 5.4
