Arcavias

Arcavias is an e-commerce framework for Web shops, consisting of an e-commerce library, an administration interface, and different frontends. It's a modular stack which offers flexibility and speed. Unlike other Web shops, it's not a monolithic application. Instead, you have a choice between several user frontends, and you can adapt them to your needs or write one of your own.

Release Notes: The infrastructure of transifex.com is used for all translations, and the front-end generated by the HTML client is now fully translatable. A complete translation to German is provided in this release. Translations can also be overwritten by extensions, and are cached by APC, just like the configuration. The customers can see their order history, and the release supports hidden product attributes per ordered product. VAT is displayed in all locations where ordered products are shown. The fields in the address page of the checkout process can be configured, as can the values of the salutation.

Release Notes: The biggest improvements are the new checkout process, including the payment and customizable confirmation email templates, the small basket, the quick search with auto-completion, and the extended list view in the HTML client. Everything is fully translatable. The implementation of the catalog filter has been improved too, especially the performance and configurability. A new service provider for the direct debit payment method has been added. A drop-in replacement for the Zend configuration object solely based on arrays has been implemented in combination with a local memory cache.

Release Notes: The HTML client has been extended with a basket implementation which can be integrated as easily as the catalog parts. A translation infrastructure has been added to the core, together with the German translation file. The admin interface has been improved, especially the ability to overwrite the main tabs in extensions. The first version of a new panel for managing sites has been added, too. Steps have been taken to allow building market places using Arcavias. Scalability has been improved to handle large amounts of data in all panels.

Release Notes: The new release contains a client library for generating the necessary HTML when integrating Arcavias into a CMS or a customized application. The implementation of real product bundles consisting of two or more products and the conversion of the basket checks for products, addresses, delivery, and payment objects, etc. to flexible basket plugins are part of this release. The order properties for handling payment, delivery dates, and status values were renamed and streamlined, and the catalog index manager was rewritten to provide much more flexibility and increased performance.
