Cainteoir Text-to-Speech

Cainteoir Text-to-Speech is a GNOME/GTK+ GUI for the Cainteoir Text-to-Speech Engine. It allows you to listen to your documents or record them for use on the move using any of the eSpeak or MBROLA text-to-speech voices.

Release Notes: This release provides better rendering of nested table of contents entries, moves the pitch, rate, and volume options to a new settings tab, adds support for enabling ePub 3 Media Overlays narration, funded by the CSIR (Council for scientific and Industrial Research), tracks the currently-playing chapter/section (this only works if started from the first item), improves the accessibility of the UI, updates the UI to better align with the GNOME Music application UI, and uses symbolic icons for the buttons on the UI.

Release Notes: Remembers the voice settings (name, pitch, rate, …) between sessions. Updates the timebar after changing voice settings to reflect the new estimated read time. Selecting table of contents entries now takes you to the text instead of the blank line before the text. Maps the new Cainteoir Engine styles structure to text view formatting (GtkTextTag objects) to provide better document rendering.

Release Notes: Updates the translations and supports more languages (using the Open Source Translation Database). Switches to glib-gettextize/intltool for localization. Use a GtkBuilder UI file for most of the UI layout (requires glade >= 3.13.1 to edit). Uses C++11 range-based for loops.

Release Notes: This release displays the document text in the Document tab, supports drag-and-drop to change the open document, converts the NEWS and README files to the Markdown format, and fixes a crash when opening a document with mismatched HTML tags.

Release Notes: This release moves the recent documents into a document library pane. It improves the styling of the top and bottom bars. It improves the linked button styling on the Ambiance and Radiance themes. The metadata pane is now scrollable to handle large description text.
