Exponent CMS

Exponent CMS is a content management system for Web sites. It allows site owners to easily create and manage dynamic Web sites without necessarily directly coding Web pages or managing site navigation. Exponent uses an intuitive and flexible content editing system that allows Web pages to be edited on the page as it is displayed. This avoids the need for more back-end administration or for navigating many administration pages to add a simple line of text. You can simply visit the page you need to edit as if you were a site visitor, and make the change.

Release Notes: This major yet incremental update fully removes all 'old school/1.x' code. Twitter Bootstrap and jQuery are now used as the primary framework libraries, though YUI3/YUI2 are still supported. HTML5 form fallback features were provided for all browsers. New Forms features for importing CSV to create a new form or adding to an existing form were added, with the option to change the form control type. More Blog views were added along with new Blog and e-Commerce site sample installation content. LDAP server user authentication was implemented. The e-Commerce function was greatly enhanced.

Release Notes: This release contains the final feature additions prior to the release of a stable version. No features will be added until after that release. This version marks the return to naming the new container 2.0 controller simply "container" instead of container2, adds a new sample e-Commerce store database (available during installation), and adds many enhancements to the online donations and event registrations modules, including the new option of single or multi-person registration using site forms to collect data.

  •  20 Apr 2013 08:36

Release Notes: This update focused on the implementation of HTML5 form fallback code. This makes it possible to offer form features found in newer browsers to users of older browsers. You may now switch a control in the forms designer to a similar type. More control types are available within the forms designer. There were many tweaks and new features in e-commerce, especially the online donations and event registration modules.

  •  30 Mar 2013 06:07

Release Notes: This version adds all of the fixes found in version 2.1.4 plus many others. Many features were added to online donations and event registrations, making them more robust and polished. Event registrations now abide by 'options'. A new forms showall portfolio view for multi-record custom view was added (fixes custom single record view). Broader use of Ajax paging was implemented along with new HTML 5 input types. Additional date/time form designer controls were added.

  •  30 Mar 2013 01:30

Release Notes: This release only fixes bugs found in 2.1.3, everything else is destined for the soon-to-be released 2.2 major version update. This release updates EQL file exportation/importation to also include table definition for future proofing backups, adds a new "Exponent as a Service" module for JSON service calls, fixes Online Event Registrations activating many features, adds email registrants, and fixes over three dozen issues found in 2.1.3.
