le editor

LE has many block operations with stream and rectangular blocks, can edit both unix and dos style files (LF/CRLF), is binary clean, has hex mode, can edit text with multi-byte character encoding, has full undo/redo, can edit files and mmap-able devices in mmap shared mode (only replace), has tunable syntax highlighting, tunable color scheme (can use default colors), tunable key map. It is slightly similar to Norton Editor, but has more features.

    Release Notes: Large-file support was added for mmap of a file part. Creating a file in mmap mode is no longer attempted. The license was changed to the GNU GPLv3 (regex.c already uses it).

      Numeric keypad...
      Hi, I don't know if it only happens to me, but when I use 'le', sometimes I can't use the numeric keypad. I have Num. Block activated, but le doesn't allow me to use those keys.

      Please, answer me as soon as posible, and sorry for my english :(

      Oops! Sorry. Version 1.9.0 has support for Perl. ;)
