Catdoc is a MS Word file decoding tool that doesn't attempt to analyze file formatting (it just extracts readable text), but is able to handle all versions of Word and convert character encodings. Drivel is a GNOME client for working with online journals, also known as weblogs or simply blogs. gPDFText is a text editor that opens PDF documents for ebook readers, converts the text contents into plain ASCII text, restores the original paragraphs, and removes unwanted line breaks to allow easier zooming on the reader. The text is loaded into a text editor with spell-checking support and can then be saved as a reformatted PDF in A5, B5, or original A4 size.
pyBit uses AMQP to create a distributed, cross-platform buildd toolkit to build packages using a collection of buildds, direct from various VCS clients. It is intended to support rapidly evolving software collections, and can support multiple VCS frontends and multiple build backends. Cross building is expected to be supported for some backends. The initial backend uses dpkg for Debian. pyBit includes support for cancelling selected builds and using multiple buildd clients per architecture, per platform, and per suite.
Generating new objects for the Query Object Framework is repetitive, tedious, and time consuming. Qof Generator automates this process in PHP to build a working test program linked against QOF. Objects are created from an HTML form using a temporary MySQL cache and exported with Makefile, ./autogen.sh, ChangeLog, README, C source code, and doxygen mark-up comments in a tarball built by the PHP code.
QOF (Query Object Framework), provides a set of C Language utilities for performing generic structured complex queries on a set of data held by a set of C/C++ objects. This framework is unique in that it does not require SQL or any database at all to perform the query. Thus, it allows programmers to add query support to their applications without having to hook into an SQL database.
pilot-qof has now switched to subversion, ahead of the 0.2.0 release.
