dmap2gcode is a depth map image cutting program. A depth map is a greyscale image in which the darkness or lightness of each pixel corresponds to the depth (or height) of the object at each point. dmap2gcode supports various cutter geometries (flat, ball nose, and v-bit), two types of cut entry (straight and arc), a full set of roughing options, and various other settings, all controlled through a graphical user interface. The g-code output from dmap2gcode is compatible with LinuxCNC and Mach3.
F-Engrave generates g-code tool paths for CNC machines using CXF fonts, true type fonts (TTF), or a 2D DXF file. It can generate tool paths for engraving or v-carving text or a DXF design. The output of F-Engrave can be imported into EMC2, MACH3, or other machine controllers. F-Engrave output can be reopened by F-Engrave for later editing. F-Engrave designs can also be exported as SVG files.
